Notably, Türkiye was ranked 116th amongst 140 international locations within the rule of legislation index revealed by the World Justice Venture (WJP) in 2022.

The delegation underscored its deep concern over the circumstances of attorneys’ detentions, citing a breach of internationally-accepted jail requirements, notably the UN Customary Minimal Rules for the Therapy of Prisoners. Moreover, the delegation demanded a cessation of “all acts of intimidation and harassment concentrating on attorneys,” whereas emphasizing the crucial to uphold the independence of the authorized career.
